Pharaonic Rocking Chair by Ahmed Helmy & Helmy_theidintitystore , Animal-Inspired Ancient Design
This Pharaonic rocking chair is the result of a unique collaboration between Ahmed Helmy and Helmy Store, blending ancient Egyptian design with modern craftsmanship. Creating this chair was no easy task, as ancient Egyptians often designed their furniture to embody animals. The legs of their chairs and furniture were typically crafted to resemble animal limbs, bringing life and symbolism into each piece.
One of the most famous ancient chairs is that of King Tutankhamun, where every detail, including the animal-shaped legs, was carefully crafted. Inspired by this tradition, we set out to create an authentic Pharaonic rocking chair that stays true to the ancient practice of incorporating animals into its design.
Our chair honors this legacy by thoughtfully designing its legs to resemble those of animals, reflecting the deep connection between nature and craftsmanship in ancient Egyptian culture. Through this piece, we bring the spirit of ancient Egypt into modern living, creating a timeless connection between past and present.
